Pneumatic hammer does not work what reason

Air hammer refers to the phenomenon that when the liquid flowing in the pipeline suddenly stops or changes the direction of flow, due to the inertia of the liquid, it will produce pressure fluctuations, resulting in noise or vibration of the pipeline. The air hammer does not hammer, meaning that in some cases, even if there are pressure fluctuations, it can not produce significant vibration effects.

This phenomenon usually occurs in the following situations:

1. Reasonable pipeline design: If the pipeline design is reasonable, including appropriate diameter, slope and support, etc., it can effectively reduce or eliminate the production of air hammers.

2. Installation of pressure reduction devices: In some systems that require pressure reduction, such as water supply systems or steam systems, pressure reduction devices will be installed to balance the pressure, thereby reducing the occurrence of air hammers.

3. Use buffers: In some special cases, such as long pipelines or high pressure systems, buffers can be used to absorb pressure fluctuations, thereby reducing the impact of the air hammer. Therefore, when you encounter the case that the air hammer does not hammer, it may be because the pipeline design is reasonable, the pressure reduction device is installed, or the buffer is used.

In popular terms, there is insufficient air pressure: the air hammer needs enough air pressure to lift the hammer head. Check whether the air pressure meets the requirements of the air hammer. Air path blockage: The air path of the air hammer may be blocked by foreign bodies, causing air to fail to circulate. Cleaning the gas line or replacing the gas line components may help solve the problem. Insufficient lubrication: The air hammer needs enough lubrication to work properly. Check whether the lubricating oil is sufficient or needs to be replaced. Hammer head damage: If the hammer head is damaged or badly worn, it may result in the inability to lift the hammer head. Replacing the hammer with a new one may help solve the problem.
