Based on the reasonable selection of the solenoid valve, correct installation, use, and maintenance are the guarantee that the solenoid valve can work reliably. (1) Installation

When installing, pay attention to the flow direction of the working medium, and install it in the direction of flow indicated by the arrow on the valve body.

The power supply conditions should be consistent with the specifications on the solenoid valve nameplate, such as AC, DC, voltage level, power, etc. When driven by a control relay, it should be reasonable to match it. The solenoid valve should be grounded for safety.

The solenoid valve is equipped with a spring, which can withstand a certain degree of vibration, and it can work normally when installed slightly vertically, but it should be installed in a place with less vibration as much as possible and installed vertically.

When installing, pay attention to the sealing of the parts connected to the valve and the valve body to prevent leakage. In places with corrosive media, when installing outdoors, the valve should be taken with necessary protective measures.

(2) Maintenance

The solenoid valve installed in the new pipeline should be purged of the process pipeline before use to remove impurities, dirt and welding slag in the pipeline to avoid the valve being blocked or stuck.

During the process shutdown, when the solenoid valve is not in use, the manual stop valve in front of the valve should be closed. If the shutdown time is too long, you can consider disassembling the solenoid valve for storage, otherwise the serious fouling of the process pipeline will be left in the valve, which will cause the valve to become stuck and cannot work. Weighing the pros and consRemoving custody is easier and more proactive than handling failures at the start of work.

It is also important to prepare the necessary spare parts. Because the structure of the solenoid valve is not too complicated, it is not too difficult to handle when encountering a failure. Here are some common faults, such as:

If the solenoid valve does not work when it is energized, check whether the wiring is normal, otherwise check whether the coil is disconnected.

The energized valve won’t open. Check whether the valve cover screw is loose. If this failure occurs after replacing the bonnet gasket, you should check whether the gasket is too thick, too thin, or caused by inconsistent screw tightening. Then check whether the valve plug is stuck. If there is a pilot valve, you should observe whether the valve port is blocked.

After power failure, the valve cannot be closed. First check whether the valve plug is stuck and whether the pilot valve port is blocked.

The valve has been closed, but it still cannot be closed, and there is still leakage of the working medium. Focus on checking whether the sealing gasket of the valve plug is damaged and whether the valve seat is loose.
