Classification
According to the execution mode of the action:
Direct-acting type: Electromagnetic force acts directly on the valve core to make it move, with a simple structure and can be used in negative pressure or even vacuum environments. It is suitable for small-diameter and low-pressure applications, such as water piping systems, air conditioning, heating, etc.
Pilot type: When powered on, the electromagnetic force opens the pilot valve port, and uses the pressure difference between the upper and lower parts of the valve core to push the main valve core to move. It has good sealing performance and a higher upper fluid pressure limit, but it cannot be started at zero pressure. It is often used in agricultural irrigation, brake control system circuit pressure regulation, etc.
Step-by-step direct-acting type: Combining the characteristics of direct-acting type and pilot-operated type, it can be started at zero pressure, with fast opening and closing speed but high power, and is mainly used in hydraulic control systems.
According to the electronic control method:
Single electronically controlled solenoid valve: There is a return spring and an electromagnetic coil. When the solenoid coil is powered, the slide valve is opened, and it is automatically reset after power loss. It is often used in pneumatic control circuits.
Dual electronically controlled solenoid valve: There are two solenoid coils, one coil is powered to move the slide valve instantaneously, and it can only be replaced after the other coil is powered on. It is a directional control element in pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
According to the driving mode:
Electrically controlled solenoid valve: easy to operate, no compressed air required, but slow response speed, poor control accuracy and adjustment performance, used in engine fuel vapor recovery systems, hydraulic systems, etc.

Air-controlled solenoid valve: high control accuracy, fast response speed, good working stability, wide range of applications, used in automotive braking systems, device transmission mechanisms, etc.
According to the default state of the valve:
Normally closed solenoid valve: The valve closes when powered off and opens when powered on, often used to prevent fluid leakage and other occasions.
Normally open solenoid valve: the valve opens when the power is cut off, and closes when the power is turned on, suitable for situations where it is necessary to maintain continuous flow of fluid.
